Museum Archive Studio with Andrew Saunders & Caleb Ehly

Translating the behaviors from Sequential Chambers into a museum archive, the notion of temporality came into play again, this time in relationship to past cultures. Just as these artifacts were found buried deep beneath the ground, the proposed courtyard archive houses its findings in the belly of the structure. Public spaces are created for guests as figures erupt from this landscape, tectonically disrupting the normative structure that existed. The building is positioned at an angle with the building, postured so that the cracks and splits made in the walls allow for oblique glimpses of the museum facade hidden behind.
